Weather:The weather in this part of Asia varies by region and season. During winter (from November to March), temperatures in places like Hong Kong and northern Vietnam can range from 4 –10°C (39 – 50°F), sometimes dropping to 1 – 5°C (34 – 41°F) in mountainous areas, which can be quite cold. In contrast, other regions generally experience warm climates with average temperatures between 25 – 30°C (77 – 86°F), occasionally reaching 33°C (91°F) or higher. For detailed weather information at your destination, please contact our travel consultant or check our website.

What to wear:When preparing for your trip, pack versatile clothing suitable for both warm and cool climates. In Hong Kong during the winter months (November to March), warm clothes, light jackets, and sweaters are essential as temperatures can be quite cool, typically ranging from 10 – 15°C, and sometimes lower on colder days. In warmer areas, choose lightweight, breathable clothing to stay comfortable. If you plan to take part in outdoor or beach activities, be sure to bring swimsuits and sun-protective clothing. A light raincoat or umbrella is also useful year-round since Hong Kong can experience sudden rain showers, especially in spring and summer. When visiting sacred places or cultural sites, dressing modestly is very important. In many temples or religious sites, covering your shoulders and knees is considered a sign of respect. Avoid wearing shorts, tank tops, or overly revealing clothing when visiting these places.

What to take:For convenience during your trip, pack lightly and choose a suitcase with wheels for easy mobility. Many items can be purchased at your destination, so avoid overpacking from home. For day trips from the port, a small overnight bag (if you have an overnight excursion) or a small backpack is very handy for carrying essentials. It’s recommended to use a money belt to keep your money and important documents safe. Don’t forget to prepare essential items such as warm clothing for cooler regions, sunscreen to protect against tropical sun, swimwear for water activities, and a light raincoat or umbrella to be ready for sudden rain showers.
