OVERVIEW

Hue was Vietnam's capital (under the Nguyen imperial dynasty) between 1802 and 1945. The port is located on Perfume River, some 700 km (430 ml) south of Hanoi and 1100 km (680 ml) north of the capital Ho Chí Minh City. Hue Imperial City is an UNESCO site (since 1993) and consists of a walled fortress and a royal palace (with outer and inner courts, gardens and temples).

Itinerary Details

07h15- 07h30: Pick up at dock, transfer to Hue city.

09h00: Arrival Hue, start bike fitting.

09h30 - 10h00: You start your trip at impressive French built Quoc Hoc High School where many important statesmen of Vietnam attended including the father figure of the country - Ho Chi Minh.

Ride along the country paths where numerous Buddhist pagodas and shrines & monuments can be seen:

• Stop to visit Khai Dinh mausoleum which is well known for its intricate mosaic tiles as well as the European influenced Oriental design.

• Ride onto the craft village of Da Khe which specializes in traditional bamboo handicrafts.

• Take a short trip by boat across a reservoir for the 2km ride to Gia Long tomb which is well known for its distinctive architecture as well as its stunning, natural setting.

• Cycle along the northern bank of the Perfume River among green, aged pine trees then board a local ferry to the other side of the river & bike to local restaurant for lunch.

• After lunch (finish riding), Visit to Tu Duc’s mausoleum, the resting place for the fourth emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty that reflect the character of a poet and scholar than an emperor with a romantic architectural style within harmonious natural setting & if time permits, visit nearby villages specializing in incense stick making and bronze casting Or conical hat making village.

15h00: Get transfer back to the dock.

16h30:Drop off at cruise terminal for cruise departure at 18h00
