OVERVIEW

Ko Samui (or Koh Samui), also often locally shortened to Samui, is an island and city  off the east coast of the Kra Isthmus, Thailand. Geographically in the Chumphon Archipelago, it is part of Surat Thani Province, though as of 2012, Ko Samui was granted municipal status and thus is now locally self-governing. Ko Samui is Thailand's second-largest island after Phuket, with an area of 228.7 km2, a population of over 63,000 and a hotel occupancy rate of 73% as the number of visitors increases. Abundant tourist resources, sandy beaches, coral reefs, and coconut trees are present on the island.

Itinerary Details

Welcoming at the dock, we will start with a visit to Koh Samui’s most impressive waterfall -Namuang Waterfall. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful cascade and surroundings or swim in the natural pools (optional). Continue to The elephant Camp (Samui Elephant Haven/Samui Elephant Jungle Sanctuary) for interact with them and learning their behaviors. 

Enjoy feeding, taking some photos, touching them and walk with them like friends. After a short drive you will arrive to the mummified monk temple, an amazing and unique attraction of the Koh Samui. This place too has an original story to tell. Next, a monkey show awaits you to discover how Samui trained monkeys harvest coconuts from the trees and then enjoy the fruits of their labor. With Koh Samui’s hot weather it is always refreshing to drink a young fresh coconut. 

Next we will visit is the very famous rock formation of Hin Ta & Hin Yai (Grandfather and Grandmother), located at the idyllic emerald Sea. Ask our guide about the Thai legend of this extraordinary rock formation)
